Once more, Interarts joins the annual international campaign 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence which starts on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls on 25 November and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. Interarts works to strengthen human rights and cultural rights that defend gender equality and freedom, and fight against all types of violence.

This initiative, launched in 1991 from the Centre for Women’s Global Leadership, aims to demonstrate existing solidarity and share new tools or strategies to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV) at local, national, regional and international levels. This year, the campaign will run under the theme “Orange the World: Generation Equality Stands against Rape“. Everyone is invited to be more involved to learn about the real facts and stories that all parties involved have to share.

In order to support this cause, Interarts will don the color orange and share highlights from our  DECIDES Programme and SouthMed WiA project, focused on the prevention of gender-based violence, the dissemination of values related to gender equality and the promotion of the role of women in the cultural sector.

We invite you to visit our website and social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to learn more about the lessons-learned and good practices developed on these issues.
