On the 21st and 22nd of October, Interarts took part in the Kick-off Meeting of the Creative Europe Culture Programme in Brussels, organized by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission, together with the nearly 200 coordinators of projects, platforms and networks funded under said Programme.

During the inaugural meeting, Interarts participated in project management and financing workshops within the framework of the Creative Culture Program of Europe, and on other crucial topics of the Program such as audience development, intercultural dialogue and social integration of refugees. Interarts, as an expert in international cultural cooperation for development, presented some of its projects (FOMECC, DECIDES, Southmed CV, and LAIC ) to underline the public value of culture and the strong and transversal importance of its role as the fourth pillar of the sustainable human development.

Our organization will have the support of this program to co-finance the new project “Birth Cultures: A Journey through European History and Traditions around Birth and Maternity”, which will take place from November 1st, 2019 to April 30th, 2022. The project will feature the participatory co-creation of a traveling exhibition that will be exhibited in different museums throughout Europe such as the Women’s Museums of Hittisau (Austria) and Merano (Italy), the Gender Museum in Kharkiv (Ukraine), and the Women’s Culture Centre Francesca Bonnemaison in Barcelona (Spain).

During the next month we will give more details about the new project to be developed. For additional information, please see the following link.
