In November 2018 Interarts payed tribute to its President, Eduard Miralles, recently passed away, with the intention of making it the first of a series of annual conversations focused on relevant issues for all the professionals in cultural management and international cultural cooperation.

In 2019, Interarts organises the second edition of the Dialogues Eduard Miralles on the topic of public policies, especially for culture, within the framework of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for development. The aim of this edition is to analyse the level of effective implementation of the Agenda since its approval in 2015 and, more concretely, how different countries have acted in the field of culture. The starting premise is that culture is a fundamental instrument for human development and should have a privileged place in the public policies and operational programmes coordinated within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.

The 2019 edition of the Dialogues Eduard Miralles is coordinated by Interarts in partnership with the Committee on Culture of United Cities and Local Governments – UCLG and in collaboration with the Centre for Cultural Studies and Resources (CERC) of the Diputació de Barcelona.

The 2019 Dialogues Eduard Miralles will take place on November 28th of 2019, from 17.30 to 20.00, at the Auditorium CERC (calle de Montalegre, 7 in Barcelona). The programme and registration form will be published in the next weeks.
