Culture Action Europe (CAE), the network that brings together cultural organisations from different sectors across Europe, asks on behalf of all its members to support non-profit organisations active at local, national and European level who wish to work and contribute to building a stronger European Union.
Notwithstanding its significant work connecting with thousands of citizens across borders and its ability to design and implement innovative and impactful projects in other contexts, the European non-profit sector currently has difficulty in accessing EU funding due to the existing financial assessment standards.
CAE recognises that non-profit organisations constitute a powerful sector, committed to contributing to the building of a fairer and more sustainable future. It therefore requests that the financial criteria foreseen in the legal framework of all 2021 – 2027 programmes, and by which the eligibility of organisations active in the fields of culture, education, innovation, youth and sport will be assessed, be changed.
