The Faculty of Communication and International Relations (FCRI) of Blanquerna – Ramon Llull University (URL), has celebrated the XXV edition of the Blanquerna Communication Days which took place on 18, 19 and 20 March. This event is organized since 1995 with the aim of bringing students closer to the professional world through lectures, round tables and debates in relation to communication, international relations and public management subjects. This year was dedicated, especially, to the rights, involvement, participation and leadership of women in the related sectors.
What are the limits and obstacles that women find to achieve equality? How can gender discrimination be tackled in the different fields? And, beyond an androcentric, sexist and patriarchal approach, are they considered capable of offering society a new perspective of empathy, tolerance and diversity?
Personalities from the academic, business and institutional world are invited in order to illustrate the reality of the professional world. This year the event was attended by Agustí Fernández Losada, Vice President of Interarts, for the Blanquerna Awards; and Mercedes Giovinazzo, Director of Interarts, for the debate “Gender Perspectives in International Education, Economic Development and Culture“, around the 17 sustainable development objectives, based on a gender, education and culture perspective.
