On 21 April, Interarts director Mercedes Giovinazzo participated in the seminar ‘Urban Development and Culture for Social Inclusion in Latin America’, held in Brussels, Belgium. At the one-day seminar, artists, urban planners, representatives of governments, and civil society in the EU and Latin America discussed the importance of creativity and culture to achieve more inclusive and fair cities, a central theme of a project that Interarts recently launched in conjunction with Bozar – Centre for Fine Arts: ‘Culture and arts supporting social cohesion in Latin American cities’. This initiative seeks to promote and strengthen the role of arts and culture as engines of inclusive and sustainable development.
