Interarts will participate in the new edition of the European Development Days (EDD 2019) in Brussels and will coordinate activities at the Booth #23, during the 18th and 19th of June 2019. This meeting, organised by the European Commission, will bring together the main actors of international development cooperation to promote the exchange of experiences and inform interested parties about the advancements of EU policies in the fight against inequalities. At EDD 2019, Interarts will demonstrate that culture promotes a world of well-being, equality and diversity, where no one is left behind!
In this edition, Interarts will present three projects: DECIDES, an umbrella programme which includes smaller projects ranging from Gender-based Violence and Domestic Violence to security; SouthMed WiA, which promotes gender equality in the audiovisual sector in the Southern Mediterranean region; and Culture at Work Africa, which promotes the value of culture for social cohesion and urban development in Africa. This year, Interarts will also organise a “Brainstorming Lab” (18 June), titled ” Promoting gender equality through culture and creativity”, and a series of Pop-up sessions focused on sharing information on the best practices of the presented projects and, in general, the role of culture as a vital element for sustainable development.
We hope that you too will attend EDD 2019 and look forward to welcome you at our Stand #23.
