The Vice-President of the Interarts Board of Trustees, Gemma Carbó – an expert in culture policies and international cultural education – was recently appointed Director of the Museum of Rural Life in l’Espluga de Francolí, Girona. The Carulla Foundation, which is behind the museum, found Carbó to be the ideal professional to spearhead it. The museum aims not only to preserve and exhibit its collection but also to generate knowledge and critical thinking and to have an impact on society and be proactive in transforming it. Gemma Carbó, co-founder of ConArte Internacional, has been tasked with renewing the museum, to bring it in line with current trends in museums.
