The ‘Cultural Mobility Map of North Africa (NACMM)’ is far more than just a map, with more than 70 art residences in the Southern Mediterranean: Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. It is a project that facilitates the mobility of artists and researchers interested in carrying out projects in this region. To do so, in addition to compiling artistic residences, it offers a series of video interviews of artists, curators and coordinators of residences and databases on sources of funding and informative platforms related to research in the art, humanities and social sciences in the Arab world. Coordinated by CeRCCa (Casamarlés Research and Creation Centre) in collaboration with Jiser Reflexions Mediterrànies, Le18, Atelier de l’Observatoire, and El Madina for Performing and Digital Arts, NACMM is part of KIBRIT, one of the projects funded by ‘SouthMed CV – Communities of Practice for the Public Value of Culture in the Southern Mediterranean’, a consortium lead by Interarts.
