Cultural management is the art of planning, organising, directing, supervising and coordinating project and activities by non-profit and profit organisations in the cultural sector. This profession, stimulating and interesting, requires high competencies but also appropriate attitudes and skills, such as creativity and commitment.
What relevant studies should cultural managers have? What talents or skills help the creation of cultural products and services? What exercises guarantee best practices? Or, in what field can good practices in cultural management be developed?
“Creative Gym” is a project co-funded by the European Union (EU) – Upskill that answers these questions and addresses the key competences in the cultural sector, in order to improve the professional training of cultural managers. With training exercises and operating models, this electronic resource provides professionals of the cultural sector information to recognise and develop those skills they usually put into practice on a daily basis both in local and European contexts.
