The closing ceremony of the Project ‘Culture for All – Phase III’ was held in Pristina, Kosovo, on 27 October. The aim of this project has been to contribute to the development and strengthening of the cultural sector in that country. The event was attended by Libor Chlad, Deputy Head of Cooperation in the EU Office in Kosovo, and Sami Pira, director of the Cultural Department of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport. The project team leader, Dominique Thiange, presented the activities carried out under ‘Culture for all – Phase III’ (November 2014-November 2016) and the main outcomes. The event ended with musical performances by several local artists. On 28 October, the two documentaries produced as part of the project were screened: Drums of Resistance, by Mathieu Jouffre and Besa Luci, and Lord of the Houses, by Danielle Bremer. However, these were not the only ‘Culture for All – Phase III’ activities carried out in October. This month also saw the last of the 6 weaving workshops which had twelve participants, and Children’s Week 2016, which included workshops on visual arts, heritage, film, cultural centres, theatre, literature, and music, and ran in Peja and Pristina for some 535 primary and secondary school pupils.
