The National Museum of 21st-century Arts (MAXXI) and ECCOM– Idee per la Cultura organized, on 16 and 17 May in Rome, the ArtClicks “Intercultural Tests” Conference. The event addressed intercultural training and project management for museums and heritage institutions through workshops and debates. During the conference, the book “Prove di intercultura”, prepared in the framework of the ArtClicks project was presented.
Stefano Cataldi, ethnomusicologist, and Mercedes Giovinazzo, Director of Interarts, led the first conversation centered on collective intelligence. In her contribution, Mercedes pointed out that the projects on which Interarts works have long-term impacts and make evident that public involvement and community participation are an integral part of the strength of cultural institutions.
The two-day conference was a success in bringing together stakeholders from different areas of the cultural sector to discuss on the importance of fostering an intercultural approach for the benefit our societies.
