The Culture Forum 2020, promoted by the Cercle de Cultura, aims at promoting an open debate, with the participation of experts, on the priorities and challenges for the cultural sector.

Between May and July 2018 four (4) workshops were held to analyze the role of administrations and cultural operators in the design of cultural policies that promote social progress, community cultural action and citizenship. Gemma Carbó, president of Interarts, coordinated the workshop on “Culture and education” which also counted with the participation of Javier Brun, member of the board of Interarts, and of Eduard Miralles, president of the board recently disappeared.

From October to December 2018 another three (3) workshops focused their debate on the financing of cultural projects and programs, on new access opportunities for culture offered by digital platforms and on the international cultural projection of Barcelona and Catalonia. Mercedes Giovinazzo, director of Interarts, participated in this last workshop.

A summary document of the tables carried out so far, with the general analysis and the proposals suggested by the experts is available at the link below.

The last cycle of workshops dedicated to public cultural policies will be held in these first months of 2019. The general conclusion of the Culture Forum 2020 will be shared at a public presentation once the cycle of workshops is concluded.
