On November 30, during the last extraordinary meeting, the Board of Interarts appointed Gemma Carbó as the new President and Agustí Fernández de Losada as the vice president of the organisation.
Gemma Carbó had been acting as president of Interarts during the most recent months, following the death of the previous president, Eduard Miralles in August 2018. Carbó is the Director of the Museum of Rural Life of the Fundació Carulla, in l’Espluga de Francolí, Tarragona (Spain), since April 2018. Agustí Fernández de Losada is currently Director of the “Global Cities” program of CIDOB.
The Board of Interarts, under the new presidency of Gemma Carbó, has expressed its desire to maintain the legacy of its predecessor, Eduard Miralles, as well as his spirit, always innovative and open to new challenges to make culture an element every day more decisive in projects and policies oriented to human development.
