Seven month left to go to European elections and Culture Action Europe – CAE (the major European network of cultural organisations, artists, activists, academics and policy-makers) launches a Manifesto to appeals to the European political parties and groups as well as to the candidates and the future members of the European Parliament to put culture at the centre of their May 2019 election programmes. The appeal includes some recommendations to them and the reminder that European cultural diversity is a strength and when political leaders choose to see culture as a source of unity, culture becomes a force for cooperation and mutual understanding. CAE encourages all its members and partners (among which is Interarts), and all cultural workers and organisations in general to actively participate in the 2019 European elections and to join in spreading this message.
