The Interarts Foundation and the Spanish Ministry of Culture are organising an event entitled Confluences - International Conference on Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue, which will be held in Panticosa (Huesca, Spain), on 23-25 July, in the framework of the Pirineos Sur music festival. An official event of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue, Confluences is also supported by the European Commission, the Regional Government of Aragón and the Provincial Council of Huesca (Diputación Provincial).
Confluences' programme combines a series of testimonials, discussions on cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue and presentations of relevant artistic initiatives. A range of issues including intercultural dialogue in everyday life, its effects on creativity, its implications for public authorities and the place of diversity in the media will be analysed. Contributions from well-known personalities, as well as relevant small-scale initiatives which provide new perspectives on diversity and intercultural dialogue have been included in the programme. Sessions will be held in Spanish, English and French.
Attendance is open to professionals, students and any other interested members of the public. You will find a programme, registration sheet and other useful information below. For further details, contact icd@interarts.net.
