In the framework of preparations for the international seminar 'Cultural Diplomacy: a Perspective from Catalonia', which will take place in Barcelona on 2-4 December 2009, a series of documents related to this topic are presented hereafter. These contributions come either from governments or from authors who have analysed the evolution of cultural diplomacy and the role of international cultural relations in a variety of context nowadays.
