One of the fundamental focuses of Interarts to its projects in the field of cooperation to development is to use culture as a tool for human development, for the great potential this sector has in creating products and services, and boosting the market and as well as creating employment opportunities.

The impact of the cultural element in the economic system is important both in the development countries as well as in our immediate environment, the European one. It is for this reason why this factor should not be forgotten in a moment like this. We include here two articles which reflect particularly on this issue: the one written by Mercedes Giovinazzo, director of Interarts, for NEMO magazine of the Network of European Museums Organization, and the one delivered by Michela Albarello, Projects Coordinator in Interarts, dealing with the experience in Colombia.
