The FORMAT project, in the framework of the Adapt programme, was born out of a reflection of the European Social Fund, the Spanish Ministry of Work and Social Affairs, the Diputació de Barcelona and Interarts on the training of cultural management professionals in the new European scenarios. The demand for quality in the creation and maintenance of employment in the sector is linked to the urgency for training strategies in order to tackle the need for new labour and professional skills. Aimed both at the public sector and small- and medium- sized companies, FORMAT proposes a new orientation towards on-going training in the fields related with new technologies, internationalisation and intersectoralisation, and the competence in order to undertake new business forms that allow the efficient implementation of fund-raising strategies.
